Post Surgery Update

Jackson had his surgery on Tuesday, and he's recovering very nicely. Everything went well, the doctors were pleased, and Jackson is home and happy. He's still a little fussy but nothing unmanageable! His incisions look like mine after my laperoscopy (sp?). He'll go in for his check-up in two weeks.

He weighted in at 12 pounds 15 ounces on Tuesday. The recovery nurse was really sweet to him and even gave him a cute owl beanie baby to remember the surgery! :)

Three Weeks Worth of Updates in a Few Words

Hi everyone.

The last three weeks have been super crazy busy. My house is slowly but surely being put back together after the move. Here is a very quick update (You'll understand why it's so quick in a second):

1. I have pneumonia. I'm home sick with it right now. Ryan has been amazing keeping Jackson away from me so that he doesn't catch it from me. Needless to say, I can barely breathe and I'm worried sick I'll give it to him.
2. Jackson has his big hernia/hydrocele surgery this upcoming Tuesday. He'll have to completely be put under and be intubated again. I am so envious sometimes of families who never have to endure watching their little babies have surgery. This is Jackson's second. I know that we are incredibly lucky, and I know that many families endure countless more surgeries than we do...but I am still so nervous.
3. My Christmas tree is up. The holidays are getting so close...and I'm so not ready.
4. Jackson is now 12 pounds 13 ounces! He began eating solids last week... he loves green beans, likes rice cereal, and seems to not like oatmeal as much. We'll try an orange veggie tomorrow!

As soon as I'm feeling better I'll update more. I'm still searching for my camera cables, so hopefully I'll find them soon!
